Nobody asked for it, but here you are.
When I saw this, I had to check the calendar – isn't it too early for an April Fools joke? But no, it's true: Nintendo has released Alarmo, an interactive alarm clock that shows animations and plays music from its popular games.
This advanced clock has a motion sensor that allows you to snooze the alarm with gestures and end it by getting out of bed. The longer you refuse to get up, the more intense the music becomes, so don't make Bowser mad.
Nintendo
"Select a title, pick a scene, set a time, and let Alarmo handle the rest. In the morning you’ll experience immersive sounds and music from the scene you picked, followed by a game element arriving to help wake you up!"
Nintendo
When the alarm rings, someone from the scene you picked will appear. To make it quieter, just wave your hand. "Depending on the title you’ve chosen, you might also hear coins or other familiar game sounds when you interact with Alarmo."
There are 35 scenes inspired by Nintendo Switch games, including Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
This clock is picky, though. For the best experience, you should be sleeping in a twin to king-sized bed alone. If someone is resting with you, Nintendo recommends using the Button Mode, which turns this $99.99 device into a traditional clock with no movement detection.

When fans asked for a new product from Nintendo, I don't think that's what they wanted. Meanwhile, Switch 2 is expected to be released by March 2025, but I wouldn't get too excited for now.
