Not everyone is interested in pursuing higher specs and better console performance

Amidst the console wars between the two giants, the pursuit of higher specs and better performance, which aims to win the hearts of players and their cash, seems to be a key to winning the silent battle. However, not everyone is interested in joining such a competition.
Shigeru Miyamoto, a prestigious game designer, producer, and game director at Nintendo, expressed the will for players to leave Nintendo out of the “game wars.”
In an interview with Famitsu to celebrate the upcoming grand opening of the Nintendo Museum, Miyamoto-san first explained the reasons for building the museum, which center around the wish for people to “understand what Nintendo is” by visiting there.
“If we want to preserve all of Nintendo's past assets and have people understand what Nintendo is through them, then not only employees, but also people who know Nintendo for three generations now, so I hope they can come and understand what Nintendo is.” (Translated by Google)
He continues to share opinions on how Nintendo can create things by taking advantage of existing technologies instead of getting involved in the “game war” of high specs and game console performance.
“I want people to understand that and not involve Nintendo in the "game war" of high specs and the performance of game consoles (laughs). I thought it would be a good opportunity to help people understand that Nintendo will continue to create things that are unique to Nintendo using various technologies in the world today.”

Earlier this month, Sony, one of the active parties in the console war, announced the price of PlayStation 5 Pro, their most visually advanced console. The $700 cost for a device boasting enhanced graphics, which players have difficulty noticing, has unsurprisingly disappointed many.
Miyamoto not only doesn't want people to drag Nintendo into the console wars but also mentioned that the company intends to continue following its own path in taking advantage of AI technology, which differs from some other major gaming companies.
