The Bazaar in the Desert was inspired by the aim to create a village and market emerging around ancient ruins in the desert, with a mystical and charming atmosphere that preserves ancient architectural styles and traditions. The village blends various architectural styles from different countries harmoniously. This resulted in the creation of a unique bazaar set in a desert oasis.
“A space where users can gather, repair their equipment, and rest, similar to an actual game. There are five hidden hourglasses scattered throughout the project. Finding these hourglasses allows you to explore the entire scene. Each hourglass is located in a noble's mansion, an alley, a mysterious pond with ruins, an oasis, and at the village gate. Taking your time to explore the village and find the hourglasses will let you discover various architectural styles, ruins, and local customs”, stated the artist.
For modeling, we used 3DsMax and ZBrush, and for texturing, Substance Painter was employed. The project was developed in Unreal Engine 5, utilizing Nanite and Lumen technologies.
