Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will feature two difficulty modes depending on the playing perspective, the New Style and the Legacy Style.
Creative Producer Yuji Korekado (via VGC) said that the developers originally planned to add an option to switch between the two viewpoints at any time during gameplay but decided to abandon that idea. The reason for this is that the difficulty level changes hugely depending on the viewpoint. "The New Style has a wider, more linear field of view, and you can shoot your gun while moving, so the difficulty level was lower than we had expected," the developer shared.

Adjusting the difficulties for New Style and Legacy Style would have made the latter "too difficult," and that led to splitting the two modes. As shared by Korekado, the Legacy Style was close to the difficulty level of the original version, and the New Style was adjusted "from scratch."
Before, Game Producer Noriaki Okamura said that the remake's graphics and operability would embrace the "modern style," while the game's core elements, such as sound, scenario, and game design, would remain untouched. The remake is reportedly coming this November.
