Winter, spring, summer, and fall – all contained within a single Blender donut.
Have a look at this mesmerizing, infinitely-looping Blender animation inspired by the four seasons, showcased recently by CG Modeler Ichikawa. Offering an interesting take on the iconic "Blender donut," the animation imagines winter, spring, summer, and fall as beautifully decorated donuts. The hypnotic effect comes when each donut splits in two, revealing the next "season" in a captivating "matryoshka doll" style loop that can hold your attention for minutes on end.
"By connecting donuts representing the four seasons in an infinite loop, we expressed the changing of the seasons as a symbol of a ring. While aiming for a realistic texture that would whet the appetite, we created a unique donut that is just about impossible to recreate in real life," commented the creator. Earlier today, we also highlighted an impressive donut project by 3DCG Artist Shimu, who quite literally deep-fried a bunch of donuts in Blender with the help of the software's Geometry Nodes.
