The modder doesn't want to mess up with "possible threats from the Sony side."

While a mod called NoPSSDK came to the rescue for those who were angry at the PSN requirement for God of War Ragnarök, players who haven't benefited from it yet cannot access it anymore. Its creator, iArtorias, has decided to take it offline already, in fear of “possible threats from the Sony side” since it has become “way too popular.”
Some players decide not to surrender to providing their personal information to play a single-player game. So, it’s not surprising to hear that the mod is gathering massive attention, and players who like it start to share it willingly. Despite the willingness to “maintain the tool even if something changes,” the entire mod has now gone poof. Ironically, the only scenario the creator had hoped for, “nothing crucial happens,” seems to have occurred.

“The mod you were looking for couldn’t be found,” is what the mod’s page now shows. “Even though the code has never touched any of their products in memory. You never know, and it’s really a grey area to me,” modder iArtorias further explains the reason behind taking it down in a statement issued to IGN.
The majority of the nearly 2,500 negative reviews of the game on Steam target the compulsory PSN account linkage; yet so far, there is no sign from Sony to remove this requirement, as they did to Helldivers 2.
